The Bachelor of Social Science (BSS-Hons.) in Media and Journalism (MAJ) will require students to complete at least 129 credits in 4 years i.e., in 8 semesters to get a degree; it is worth noting that each lab course carries 4 credits and each non-lab course carries 3 credits. Students of BSS in Media and Journalism (MAJ) must complete a minimum of 77 credits as core and recommended electives to fulfill their program requirements. They are required to take all the relevant core courses (17*3/4=57) and recommended elective courses (5*3/4=20) relevant to their course requirement. This program has been framed as per the guidelines of UNESCO, the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), the Global Communication Association (GCA), and the Society for Cinema and Media Studies (SCMS).
