Overview

Program Introduction:

The Master of Laws (LL.M) program is developed to integrate national and global perspectives on aspects of corporate, international law and other varied areas of law and emphasizes on a transnational and comparative approach to research. The program aims to equip students with skills for global research enabling them to adapt, innovate and apply their knowledge to international legal issues. The objectives of the LL.M program are based on the vision of North South University in imparting globalised legal education with a view of producing world class professionals and academics in the legal arena.

Program Overview:

The LL.M is a one-year degree program where the students have to complete 36 credits over the period of 12 months. This degree will provide students with options to choose from 21 specialized courses that can be tailored to each individual’s interests, thus uniquely equipping students with the knowledge and skills to excel in today’s global legal community, whatever their personal and professional goals may be. In addition, the LL.M program provides that any student taking 6 commercial law subjects and completing an Independent Research Project on a topic related to commercial law aspects will be eligible for the Degree of LL.M in International Commercial Law.
