ABOUT BANGLADESH
Climate

Bangladesh has a typical monsoon climate. There is no great difference in temperature conditions around the year from one region to another. Winter visits Dhaka during January with temperatures of approximately 20-25 degrees Celsius. It is advisable to bring a sweater and a jacket.

Visa

In general, in order to visit Bangladesh you need to obtain a visa from Bangladesh High Commission or Embassy in your country. However, delegates from some countries may obtain tourist visa on arrival at the Zia International Airport.

Accommodation and Entertainment

The conference venue enjoys a prime location in the heart of Dhaka City, the hospitality capital of South Asia. Most shopping, food court and culinary delights of Dhaka are within very comfortable walking distance. Hotel room tariffs vary between US$ 20 and US$ 250 depending on the type of hotel and rooms such as single, double and twin share. We recommend making reservations as soon as possible.

Currency

Taka (BDT):- US $1.00 is equivalent to Tk. 70.00.

Airlines

Biman the national flag carrier of Bangladesh has started its journey from scratch virtually with no aircraft, no ancillaries. It came into operation immediately after the war of independence. Despite many odds on its journey towards a long and challenging way to progress, Biman has been able to establish its reputation as an airline of welcome smile and an ocean of hospitality.

The airlines coming to Dhaka include Air France, British Airways, Dragon Air, Emirates, Gulf Air, Indian Airlines, Kuwait Airways, Malaysian Airlines, Qatar Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Uzbekistan Airways, GMG Airlines etc.
