NSU’s Civil & Environmental Engineering Team Wins Prestigious Truss Bridge Design Competition at SUST

A two-member student team of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DCEE) of North South University has won the first place in “Truss Bridge Design” competition at the “ExCEEd 2018-SUST CEE Festival” held on Tuesday, October 11, 2018 at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet. The winning team comprised of DCEE students Md Atiqul Islam and Samira Tasnim Tamanna. It is noteworthy that the ExCEEd 2018-SUST CEE Festival was organized by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of SUST.

“EXCEED 2018 - SUST CEE FESTIVAL” is a civil engineering festival held on a national scale where numerous undergraduate students of different universities across Bangladesh participate in few very competitive competitions. The festival created a platform to share ideas among students of different universities and institutions. One of the major competitions was the “Truss Bridge Design”. The DCEE, NSU team won the prestigious first place in that competition with a surprising large margin. The DCEE, NSU family proudly extended sincere congratulation to the two members of the wining team - Mr. Md Atiqul Islam and Ms. Samira Tasnim Tamanna.
