Workshop on "Fundamentals of Writing Academic Papers" hosted by CEESA

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Students Association (CEESA), NSU hosted a workshop on “Fundamentals of Writing Academic Papers” on 24^th August, 2019 at 11: 30am in Seminar Room of Dean, SEPS, North South University.

Theme of the Workshop:

1. Key elements and stagey involved in how to write a good technical report or technical note a professional writers prospective.
2. General advice and tips on how to improve one’s writing skill

The workshop had conducted by Dr Shirin Shafiei Ebrahimi, Postdoctoral Fellow in Education, University lecturer in English, School of Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

The session was for three hours with one hour of lecture, followed by a group assignment, and then critique by Dr Shirin Shafiei Ebrahimi on their assignment and what improvements they need to concentrate on in advancing their writing skill. Dr Shirin Shafiei Ebrahimi shared her writing skills through the "ABC of writing a good scientific paper" workshop. A group of enthusiastic senior level students of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering had attended this workshop. After the session there was a certificate giving ceremony among the students of the workshop by Dr Shirin Shafiei Ebrahimi and CEESA.
