Professor Niaz Ahmed’s academic background includes an MDP from Harvard University, USA, a GMP from the University of Cambridge, U.K. and a Ph.D. in Marketing and Communication from USM, USA.

Prior to joining North South University, he had taught at State University of New York and Saint Cloud State University (tenured) in the USA, and University of Bahrain, Effat University, and Sohar University in the Middle East. He also served as Dean, Director of Graduate Studies, Director of Research, and Chairperson of Faculty Research Grants Commission in the USA. Prof. Ahmed has significant professional experience in marketing management in the field of media and communication, including NBC and PBS networks and GCCI in the USA.

Prof. Ahmed is a Senior Fulbright Scholar, and as a consultant, he had provided national and international consulting services in marketing and academic management. He has lived and worked with diverse population in the East Coast, Midwest and the West Coast in the United States, and has visited 40 countries in five continents for research, consulting, and tourism.

Dr. Ahmed has published numerous refereed journal articles and a scholarly book titled Cross-Cultural Content Analysis. Currently, he is completing a philosophical book titled The Tyranny of Extremism. His most recent screenplays titled Resurgence 2030 and Averting The Last Crunch have received several international awards and recognitions.
