Mr. Hossain is a lecturer at the Department of Management.

He joined North South University in September, 2014.  Prior to NSU, he worked in the North American Energy Industry, for two vertically electric utilities, for about 13 years, completing his corporate career as a Senior Manager.  His primary duties in the industry involved strategic change management in the marketing and operational areas of electricity generation and transmission.  He also has corporate experience as an internal auditor and a forecasting analyst.  Professionally, he had held leadership and membership positions in several international (North American) and regional (U.S.) industry organizations.

Mr. Hossain has an MBA, and Bachelors of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University, in Kansas, U.S.A.  As a student, he was very heavily involved with various student organizations including his Alma Mater's Student Government Association and an international North American social fraternity.  He was inducted in several national student honors organization.  Also, while a student, he had worked as a academic advisor for students.   In Bangladesh, he had graduated from Notre Dame College and Willes Little Flower School.

Mr. Hossain had published a number professional documents while employed at United States.  Those publications are owned by his former employers.  His publications had generally concentrated on the technical, regulatory, and strategic challenges of managing electricity generation and transmission: evolving from utility level management to a central/independent management of generation and transmission.
