As an HR academic at North South University Bangladesh, Rifat is engaged with creating an outcome based learning experience for the youth of Bangladesh through designing, preparing and developing relevant courses and teaching materials. With prior HR experience of working at a fortune 500 company, Rifat is capable of handling Learning and Development, Recruitment, and HR Information System Management. With her involvements both in the Industry and Academia, Rifat aspires to create a learning experience for her students that thrives for excellence. 

Rifat completed her Masters in Management from The Australian Naional University, Australia. She is always looking for opportunities to increase her depth of knowledge in the field related to her profession and enhance her skills working in a diverse, challenging environment.

In this study, we aim to look into Human Resource Accounting practices of Bangladeshi companies while trying to study the impact of such investments on firms’ productivity level and their financial performance.

Finalist for 2016 ANU International Business Plan Competition

Participants had to work as professional consultant for 7 live Australian SMEs. Our task was to develop international business plan for ADdysk, which is a packaging supplies and equipment advertising services company. 6 out of 17 teams were selected as finalists for the ‘Invest Canberra’ prize.

Recognized as “The Best International Business Plan prepared for ADdysk”
Result: Runners-up for the Invest Canberra Prize.

Administrator, Australasian Procurement and Construction Council, APCC, Australia (March 2017 - September 2017)

This role demands working for the Australian Government with the ability to work autonomously, and at times as part of a team, contribute to a range of administrative activities associated with committee management, data sourcing, record management and other duties as required. Responsibilities included providing administrative support to committees, Cross jurisdictional data management required liaising with various Australasian government agencies as necessary. I was also responsible for information management and obtaining a variety of government procurement data for the purpose of cross jurisdictional comparisons. After obtaining the data, a major part of my work was to collate and present the data in a format that enables rich analysis.

Volunteer Engagement and Coordination Volunteer, Australian Red Cross (December 2017 - March 2017)

Lady Lawley Cottage under Australian Red Cross is a day care and residential respite for children with disabilities in Perth, WA.. The aim of the Volunteer Engagement & Coordination Volunteer is to provide administration/HR support to the Activity & Volunteer Coordinator in regards to inquiry management, recruitment and on boarding of new volunteers, coordination of volunteer resources and other HR processes.
