Featured Works

Protibadi: An Technology based approach towards Harassment

      Description

Protibadi is a web based tool designed to support girls in Bangladesh. Here
our girls will share and support each other anonymously and create a stronger community and a sense of bonding which will help them to deal with sexual harassment against women.

Collaboration

This research work has taken place in Cornell University ,North South
University, BUET and BRAC University jointly. Details can be found in the
following webpage: http://www.protibadi.com/code/index.php/home

F3: Flash Flood Forecaster

Description

We have used real time video data to detect accidents on Highways of Bangladesh. One of the major cause of accidents are from cars overtaking each other in risky manners. Our work focuses on identifying such risky overtakes, generating alerts. It uses online and offline image processing techniques.

Cloud Computing: Context of Bangladesh

Description

We are working on various aspects of using Cloud Computing in the context of Bangladesh.  In this particular work, we are using a cloud infrastructure that may be extended under heavy load. An example application can be meeting dynamic demands such as public examination result processing.
