Dr. M A Masud has joined the North South University as an assistant professor in January 2018. Previously, he worked as an assistant professor at United International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He accomplished Ph.D. from Kyungpook National University, South Korea, in 2017. During the Ph.D., he received KNU Hons scholarship from Kyungpook National University and BK21Plus scholarship from Govt. of the Republic of Korea. He has about 10 journal articles published in peer-reviewed reputed journals and many international conference proceedings. He also presented papers at many international conferences in different countries.

Dr. Masud’s research aim is to use and develop mathematical and computational tools to explore mechanisms in biology and medicine which are as diverse as epidemiology, immunology, conservation biology, to name just a few. These require skills in mathematical modeling, probabilistic modeling, stability and bifurcation analysis, optimal control theory, game theory.
