Dr. Nayeema Bulbul is currently working as an Associate Professor (Full time Faculty) in the Department of Biology and Chemistry, North South University, Bangladesh.  Basically, she is teaching Microbiology courses. Dr. Bulbul has joined the North South University as an Assistant Professor (full time faculty) since Fall 2010. Before that, she worked as a part time faculty in this university since June 2009 with the same designation after completetion of her PhD.
Dr. Nayeema Bulbul has completed Her SSC and HSC from Mymensingh Girls' Cadet College (11th Batch,1989-1995). She did her B.Sc. (Hon.) in Microbiology from University of Dhaka. She has completed  her M.Sc. from the same university and the same department as a thesis group student.  Then, she pursued her Ph D in Science and Engineering, majoring in Biological and Environmental Sciences from Saitama University, Japan in September, 2008. During her PhD research, she worked on the Cell Biology of Rhizobium-legume symbiosis and her research topic was "Ultrastructural studies of soybean root nodules".
Dr. Nayeema Bulbul was awarded with the Monbukagakusho Scholarship to complete her PhD work. She worked as a ‘Visiting Foreign Researcher’ in the Faculty of Education, Saitama University, Japan after completion of her PhD. She was elected as a post doctoral research fellow and the fellowship was given by Japan Student Services organization (JASSO) for the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 for 90 days.
Her Research interests focuses on the cell biology of Legume-Rhizobium symbiosis, Screening of antimicrobial substance producing microorganisms, Food Microbiology, Bioremediation.
