Curriculum Vitae

Nishat has been working in the Department of Biology and Chemistry at North South University, as a full time Lecturer, since January 2013. Before that, she was a part time faculty for a semester at NSU. She also worked as a research associate at the University of Dhaka, with Professor Jesmin in 2012. She did her research fellowship at ICDDR, B and Genomics laboratory, York, UK. She completed her M.Sc. in Bioscience technology from the University of York, UK and B.Sc. in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She received Dean’s Award from the Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Dhaka for her excellent academic performance. Her current research is on the mechanism of Prion and Alzheimer’s disease and antibiotic resistance in pathogenic bacteria.
