Curriculum Vitae

Syeda Farhana Afroz joined the Department of Biology and Chemistry of NSU in December 2015. Before that she served as a part time faculty member at the School of Life Sciences in Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). She also worked as a Research Officer at the Virology Laboratory in icddr,b for about a year from September 2011.

Ms. Afroz completed her Bachelors and Masters from the Department of Microbiology at the University of Dhaka (DU) in 2010 and 2011 securing the 2nd and 3rd place respectively. She was awarded the Dean’s Award for her outstanding results. She was also awarded the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship (SISS) for her Master of Medical Science studies at Uppsala University in Uppsala, Sweden in 2013. She worked in several research projects in Karolinska Institutet (KI) at Stockholm, Sweden during her master studies.
