Saquib Rahman joined NSU Law in Spring 2017 as a lecturer. He is a qualified lawyer and is admitted to the bar association of Dhaka. Upon completion of undergraduate and graduate studies in law, criminology and criminal Justice from BRAC and Dhaka University, Saquib chose to specialize in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation (Master of Laws) from Warwick, UK. He is known for hosting the yearly Bangladesh Law Students' Symposium (BLSS), his brainchild, which is a platform for students of all law schools in Bangladesh to present their papers on contemporary legal issues and topics of public interest.
Having lost his father Col. Quadrat Elahi Rahman Shafique to bullets and bayonets, Saquib under the banner of his registered foundation, 'Desh, We're Concerned' over the years has been involved in activism for proper justice of the BDR Pilkhana carnage of February 2009.
Saquib has published at international refereed journals and served at the Editorial Board of the University of Asia Pacific Journal of Law & Policy. He is also an occassional contributor at national dailies.
Saquib Rahman in days to come, plans on publishing more in the arena of corporate governance, international trade laws and intellectual property laws.
