SIPG Training for 75 government officials under Ministry of Finance, GoB

South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG) of North South University has partnered with Economic Relations Division (ERD) under the Ministry of Finance in order to conduct a three-day long training session from 26th November to 28th November 2018. A total of 80 officials were divided into three batches to participate in this training program. The participants are employed in various capacities ranging from Senior Assistant Secretary to Joint Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh.

 

The title of the training is Managing Change for Innovation. The aim of such training is to equip the ERD officials with up to date skills and knowledge on Innovation and Change Management to manage the forthcoming challenges after elevating to the middle-income country from lower-income country. The uniqueness of this training program is to identify a problem within ERD and application of learned knowledge to solve the problem in an innovative way.

 

Professor Salahudddin M Aminuzzaman, Adviser of SIPG, Dr. Rizwan Khair and Dr. M Mahfuzul Haque Faculty Members of SIPG were the facilitators of this training. In the inauguration Mr. Monowar Ahmed, Secretary, Economic Relations Division (ERD), Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh attended as chief guest. Ms. Sultana Afroz, Additional Secretary (UN) & Chief Innovation Officer, Economic Relations Division (ERD) Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh chaired the session. Professor Salahuddin M Aminuzzaman adviser of SIPG gave the introductory speech at the inauguration. The program was held at National Economic Council Committee Room -2.
