The objective is to equip students with necessary knowledge and skill required to undertake development and other social science research. It covers the following aspects: principles and methods of research; collection, measurement, and presentation of data; report writing and presentation of findings. It includes learning of the basic and most commonly used statistical and other tools used in social science research. It will also include study and use of action research, Rapid Rural Appraisal, participatory rural appraisal, etc.
