This course includes the study of solid dosage forms. The properties of powders and granules. The formulation, manufacture and quality control of tablets. Tableting problems and its remedy. The physics of tablet compression. The capsule dosage forms. The study of gelatin and gelatin shell. Capsule manufacturing machines, formulations and quality control. Tablet coating technology, sugar coating, film coating and modified release coating, coating formulations, coating polymers, coating machines and coating problems.
