This course examines discovery and synthesis of drugs from nature and in the laboratory, how a small organic molecule interact with cellular components of the human and other animals, how chemical nature of the small molecules influence or exhibit biological activities, structural modifications leads potential activity or minimize toxicity of the parent molecules and design and development of new drugs. Stereochemistry; Molecular modifications of H-1 and H-2 blockers; Molecular modifications of diuretics; Molecular modifications of analgesic, antipyretics and anti-inflammatory drugs; Molecular modifications of anti-aging drugs.
