||This course deals with discovery processes of several classes of drugs, tools used for drugs discovery, conventional drug discovery versus modern tools and their advantages and limitations. Basic concept on drug design and drug discovery; Molecular modifications of antineoplastic drugs; Molecular modifications of antibiotics such as b-lactams, cephalosporins etc.; Molecular modifications of anti-tubercular drugs; Molecular modifications of anti-thyroid drugs.
