This course will cover key statistical concepts used in life science research, such as study design methods, sampling, population considerations, and hypothesis testing. The course will provide an introduction to widely used statistical methods such as assessing the central tendency, and dispersement in a study population; tests of statistical significance including the student t-test and chi-square test; analysis of variance; correlation studies; reliability analysis; and multivariate regression analysis. Students will be taught how to create variables and data sets, how to conduct statistical analyses, and interpretation of data outputs.
