This course covers all major topics of basic immunology. Principles of innate and adaptive immune responses, histocompatibility, humoral immunity, cell-mediate immunity (CMI), CMI and host defense, cellular activation, inflammation, disorders of the immune systems etc will be discussed.The topic will provide the student with a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of modern immunology, and make familiar with the most important immunochemical and cellular immunological techniques.
