Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) at the Asian 
Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand from 
16 July to 7 August 1998. 

Trained on 'Biogas Technology' at the Bangladesh 
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), 
Dhaka, Bangladesh from 9-20 November 1997. 

Trained on 'Physical Planning' at the Local Government
Engineering Department (LGED), Dhaka, Bangladesh from 
10-15 December 1994.

Received the 'Foundation Training' (a mandatory 
training for the Bangladesh Civil Service officers 
which include courses such as Government Policies, 
Public Administration, Project Implementation and 
Management, and Development Economics) from the 
Bangladesh Academy of Rural Development (BARD), 
Comilla, Bangladesh from 19 September to 17 November 
1994.
Academic Awards
Winner of the Tiri Tiri (a Fijian word for mangrove 
ecosystem) prize in year 2000, which is awarded to the
most outstanding Masters Student by the National Center
for Development Studies, The Australian National 
University (ANU),Canberra. 

Awarded the Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) in
1998 for two years by the Australian Agency for 
International Development (AusAID) to study for a 
Masters in Environmental Management and Development at
the Australian National University.

Received the General Scholarship on Merit in 1986 for
four years by the Dhaka Education Board to study for the 
degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at 
BUET.
