Bangladesh from 29 August to 2 September 2004.

at the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM), Dhaka,
Bangladesh, organized by Bangladesh Society for Training
and Development (BSTD) from 19-22 May 2001.
Trained on 'Disaster Management' conducted by Asian
Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) at the Asian
Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand from

| Academic Awards | Winner of the Tiri Tiri (a Fijian word for mangrove
ecosystem) prize in year 2000, which is awarded to the
most outstanding Masters Student by the National Center
for Development Studies, The Australian National
University (ANU),Canberra.
Awarded the Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) in
1998 for two years by the Australian Agency for
International Development (AusAID) to study for a
Masters in Environmental Management and Development at
the Australian National University.
Received the General Scholarship on Merit in 1986 for
four years by the Dhaka Education Board to study for the
degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at
BUET.
