Collaborative Training & Research Project with the Ministry of Food & Disaster Management:

The Department of Public Health of North South University has finalized a collaborative Training & Research Project with the Ministry of Food & Disaster Management, Government of Bangladesh supported by UNDP and other co sponsors. The project will run for 3 years with a proposed grant of 70,000,000 per year to train different categories of emergency health care providers of different hospitals aiming to ensure effective health care services for the victims of Earthquake, Cyclones, and various natural and man-made disasters.

 

Academic Innovation Fund of UGC:

North South University received three projects of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh from Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) under the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP). The three projects are (1) Building E-resources Access Centre and RFID Based Library Management System at North South University Library, (2) Improving Teaching Learning at Undergraduate and Graduate Program of Environmental Sciences (Department of ESM) and (3) Building Technology and Material Research Lab (Department of Architecture).NSU got the highest number of projects and the highest total grants amounting to Tk.61 million among the private universities in Bangladesh.

 

IFC-NSU academic partnership program:

International Finance Corporation (IFC), has allocated $75,000 from the Bangladesh Investment Climate Fund to NSU as a part of academic partnership program with 7 different universities for promoting research and faculty development in Bangladesh. The overall objective of the year long project is to formulate strategies for developing investment climate, stimulate interest in research and help introduce comprehensive undergraduate courses on investment climate issues within local universities.
