Orientation Ceremony of MPPG 9th Batch

The orientation program of the MPPG 9th Batch was held on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 10.00 am at SIPG Conference Room. Dr. Saadat Husain, former Chairman Public Service Commission of Bangladesh and Former Cabinet Secretary of GOB was attended the as Chief Guest of the program. H.E. Ms. Sidsel Bleken, Ambassador, the Royal Norwegian Embassy; was present as the guests of honor. Professor Atiqul Isalm, Vice Chancellor of NSU chaired the session. Professor Gias U. Ahsan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Designate) of NSU and Dean, School of Health and Life Sciences attended the session. 

                 

The 9th batch includes students from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Students from Bangladesh come from different cadres of the civil service (Administration, Economic, Taxation, and Information Cadre) while students from Nepal and Sri Lanka are from Administrative Staff College of Nepal and academia respectively. Under the NORPART (Norwegian Partnership) program a new element in the form of ‘students’ mobility’ has been incorporated. Under the student mobility program, students would pursue a semester (5months) in the University of Bergen in Norway. Student mobility is expected to heighten cross-cultural learning among the students.

  

The orientation function was attended by the Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences; Dean, School of Business and Economics; Adviser of SIPG, Director of SIPG; faculty members of SIPG; SIPG staff members.
