It is a great privilege and opportunity for NSU students to have Dr. Mohammad Kashro Miah as the director of the Career and Placement Center (CPC) at North South University. He has earned a Ph.D. and Post-doctoral degree from Nagoya University, Japan in 2004 and 2006 respectively. He has earned another Post-doctoral degree from Northeastern University, USA in 2010. He has twenty-five years of teaching experience with various reputed academic institutions all across the world. His guidance has allowed CPC to ensure progressive development for its students through internship programs, job searches, and placements, seminars, and workshops in NSU. He is able to transform CPC into the first window in the development of the career path for the students who are not well informed about the corporate and the business world. His history of accomplishments and experience ensures the proper guidance for NSU students’ future career.
The Career and Placement Center has assigned a Job Counselor for the guidance and assistance of the current students and Alumni. The Job Counselor aids with resume writing, mock interviews, skill and maintaining interpersonal relationship with corporate delegates in order to expand opportunities and create a platform that enhances student’s career choices. The present Job Counselor of CPC is Sadia Sultana Hridi.
The Career and Placement Center has appointed a Corporate Relations Officer to coordinate with the three school coordinators about their departments. The core responsibility is to keep North South University (Students, officials and Alumni) updated with all the posts regarding events, seminars, grooming sessions and job circulars through the Center’s official Facebook page. The current corporate relation office of CPC is Muhammad Najmul Hassan.
The Career and Placement Center has an officer (staffing) who is in-charge of all documentation and content writing for Reports, Newsletters and Event narratives. The concerned person also supervises all the Departmental meetings internally and externally, accompanied with proper meeting minutes. The current officer of the Center is Sonia Rahman.
The Career and Placement Center has a Department Secretary whose core responsibility is to manage and assist office work. Maintaining petty cash, monitoring and placing food orders for events or official engagements and also guest management at events is under her surveillance. The current Department Secretary is Rezina Akhter Jahan.
The Career and Placement Center has assigned an Assistant Officer who is responsible for providing first hand assistance to students regarding their queries about academic affairs. This assigned officer would help provide the forwarding letters, job placement letters and arrange documents related to the internship program (e.g. Offer Letters, Bank slips, No Objection Certificates, and Employer Satisfaction Surveys) . The current Assistant Officer of the Center is Shorifa Tuz Jahan.
The Career and Placement Center has assigned Guest Workers who are responsible for assisting the director of CPC in recruiting youth attendees for Career Fair, contacting media and other promotional agencies, doing paper works for different purpose, negotiating client requirements and enforcing organizational principles of integrity. One of the current Guest Workers of CPC is Quazi Ridita Samina.
