SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Manuscripts must be submitted via the NSBR ScholarOne submission portal; authors who are using the system for the first time are required to register and create an account prior to submission.

FORMATTING GUIDELINES

2. Submission Formats 

All submitted contributions undergo a double-blind review. To facilitate this, authors must submit two versions of their paper in DOC or PDF format:

  • Version 1: A paper without the authors' names.
  • Version 2: A paper with the authors' names, complete affiliation, and a short CV (limited to 100 words) attached at the end.

3. Disclaimer
The responsibility for the content of the paper lies solely with the authors. The NSBR, its committees, boards, and members assume no responsibility for the contents of the submitted papers.

4. Final Submission
The authors must ensure that the manuscript is complete, grammatically correct, and free from spelling or typographical errors. Proofs will be emailed prior to publication for final review.

COPYRIGHT AND LICENSING

Licensing Policy

Articles submitted to the journal must not have been published previously in their current or substantially similar form, nor be under consideration for publication with another journal or proceedings. Authors submitting articles for publication warrant that their work does not breach any existing copyright and agree to indemnify the publisher against any breach of such warranty. If an article is accepted for publication in the NSBR journal, authors will be requested to complete and submit a copyright form via email. All authors will receive the form by email and must sign and return it electronically to the editor.

Copyright

The copyright for all published articles will be held by North South Business Review (NSBR). Upon acceptance, authors assign full copyright of the manuscript to NSBR, including all rights, title, and interest in the work, and no royalties or remuneration will be paid to the author(s). Authors retain the rights to any intellectual property developed within the manuscript, such as models, theories, or conclusions, but cannot reuse the exact text without prior written permission from NSBR. Authors may not post or distribute the full text of the article in any form, electronic or print, without NSBR’s written consent. NSBR reserves the right to distribute, adapt, and license the work for publication in any format or medium.

Third-Party Use and Author Posting Restrictions

Any third-party use of published articles must follow the terms of the assigned license. Redistribution or posting by the author(s) on any platform (including personal websites, institutional repositories, or social media) is not permitted without written approval from NSBR.

AUTHOR FEES

North South Business Review (NSBR) does not levy any Article Processing Charges (APCs) or submission fees. As an academic journal supported by institutional funding, NSBR is committed to fostering accessible and inclusive scholarly communication. Authors are not required to pay any fees at any stage of the publication process, including submission, peer review, editorial handling, or final publication.

This policy reflects NSBR’s dedication to advancing research dissemination without financial barriers for contributors.

ADVERTISING POLICY

North South Business Review (NSBR) does not accept or publish any form of advertising, whether commercial or institutional, in either its print or digital editions. The journal is fully funded by North South University and operates independently of commercial interests. This ensures that all editorial content is free from commercial influence and that editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of academic merit.

If at any point advertising is considered in the future, NSBR will ensure a strict separation between advertising and editorial content in line with international publishing standards and ethical guidelines, including those outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

DIRECT MARKETNG POLICY

The North South Business Review (NSBR) engages in responsible and transparent direct marketing to inform academic audiences about calls for papers, publication updates, and journal news. All communications are accurate, non-deceptive, and aligned with the journal’s mission. Current calls for papers are regularly made available on the journal’s website. Recipients of promotional communications may opt out at any time, and all personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and institutional privacy standards.

REVENUE SOURCES

North South Business Review (NSBR) is fully funded by North South University. The journal does not charge authors any article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or publication fees. NSBR operates on a non-profit basis and receives institutional funding that covers all editorial, production, and dissemination costs.

The editorial decisions are made independently by the editorial board based on the scholarly merit of submissions and are not influenced by the university’s financial support or any other external funding considerations. NSBR strictly upholds editorial independence in accordance with COPE and international best practices.

OFFICIAL ARCHIVE

North South Business Review (NSBR) ensures the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published content through archiving in the North South University Institutional Repository, managed by the University Library and IT Services.

All articles are stored using established digital preservation protocols, including regular system backups, comprehensive metadata indexing, and assignment of persistent identifiers. This process ensures that all published materials remain securely preserved and continuously accessible for citation and reference, regardless of the journal’s publication status.

PUBLISHING SCHEDULE

The publication frequency of NSBR is bi-yearly. However, special issues are published on each year based on contemporary interesting and meritorious topic.

ACCESS TO JOURNAL

NSBR is committed to providing open access to all its issues and content, ensuring that both local and international researchers and other stakeholders have free and unrestricted access to advanced and contemporary knowledge across diverse areas of business.

The North South Business Review (NSBR) is owned and published by the School of Business & Economics at North South University.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

The names, email addresses, and affiliations entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
