Narmin Tartila Banu has authored business cases that have been published by IVEY Publishing and SAGE Publication. Her case topics have spanned a range of industries including health care service providers to mobile financial service companies to coffee businesses.

Narmin won two research grants from the North South University research grant commission. Her research interest lies in digital marketing and marketing for sustainable products.

Narmin has over five years of corporate experience. She started her corporate career as a PR and Communication Executive in Banglalink. Later, as a Management Trainee and then as a Brand Manager at Reckitt Benckiser, Narmin managed several global brands and was in charge of designing brand strategies and implementing brand plans accordingly. She won an award for achieving "Outstanding growth" for Reckitt Benckiser's depilatory category. Narmin also worked as a Business Analyst at SAP Asia, based in Singapore and worked closely with research firms such as IDC and Gartner. 

Narmin has an MBA from the National University of Singapore (exchange at UC Irvine, USA). She was on a merit scholarship at NUS and also served on the NUS MBA Student Council. Narmin completed her BBA from IBA, University of Dhaka. She was also selected as a young scholar by the US Department of State for the American Studies Institute, held in Washington College, Maryland, USA.

5. Served as President, NUS MBA Marketing Club 2011 and played an instrumental role in organizing workshops and networking sessions with industry speakers, capturing excellent response from the cohort.

  • Carry out departmental activities such as organizing events, carrying out administrative chores (admission exam duty) and creating platforms for student engagement.

  • Project Coordinator for a business case study project funded by Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (MCCI), one of the largest trade bodies of Bangladesh. Liaised with professors from various top local universities, edited case studies, checked for authenticity, managed fund disbursal and successfully completed the project.
