Fresher’s are oriented at NSU




The orientation ceremony, Summer 2016 of newly enrolled undergraduate students of North South University (NSU) was held on Saturday, 30 April, 2016 at Bashundhara campus in the city.

After twelve years of educational commitment, it was an important beginning of a new chapter of twelve hundred BBA, ETE, EEE, Economics, Environmental Science, Architecture, English, Computer Science and Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Microbiology and Biochemistry fresher’s.

Mr. M. A. Kashem, Chairman, Board of Trustees, NSU graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Mr. M. A. Hashem, Ms. Rehana Rahman, Ms. Yesmin Kamal and Prof. Gour Gobinda Goswami, Treasurer were present as the Special Guest, where Prof. Atique Islam, Vice Chancellor chaired the ceremony.

The Chief Guest Mr. M. A. Kashem said, “To establish Private University Act, we worked hard for three years that resulted with the opening of higher education in private sector of the country. We feel proud to let you know that the people request to admit their children in our university but it was never an openhanded job; As the NSU graduates have high demand in the job market.”

Prof. Selim Sarwar, Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences; Prof. G.U Ahsan, Dean, School of Health & Life Sciences; Prof. Md. Sirajul Islam, Dean, School of Engineering & Physical Sciences; Prof. M. Mahboob Rahman, Dean, School of Business and Economics; Md. Shahjahan, Registrar addressed to the students. Chairs of various departments, faculty members, administrative heads, guardians and other dignitaries took part in the occasion.  

A cultural session was held after formal session where students of NSU Shangskritik Shangathan performed.
