Curriculum Vitae

Abhinandan Chowdhury is currently working as a lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry & Microbiology, School of Health and Life Sciences, North South University. Mr. Chowdhury conducts two GED courses Biology 103 and Chemistry 101,, Molecular biology Lab ; BBT312, Protein & Enzymes Lab ; BBt 314L and Intro. to Biochemistry & Biotechnology Lab BIO201L. Along with these he is working a principal investigator and supervising several undergraduate research projects .  Moreover, he has currently been appointed as Club Adviser of departmental co-curricular club NSU Bioscience Club.

He had been a student of this department, from 091 batch. Later transferring credits, he joined Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) and completed BSc degree in Biotechnology; followed by MSc in Analytical Bioscience from University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom), before joining the department. Moreover, he worked as a school science teacher while studying at NSU.

Among his wide range of research interest, he wants to focus on Chemical Biology, and work on Antibiotic Resistance and if possible on Venom.  He wishes to be in academic and researcher in this field in future.
As a student he had actively participated in various sectors, including being General Secretary of the then Life Sciences Club, an active member of Cine and Drama Club. He also served voluntarily as President of Bangladesh Student Society, in University of Huddersfield during his stay in United Kingdom.
​Apart from all these he is a stage performer (music and acting), loves travelling and shows interest in martial arts and fitness.
