About

Dr. F. J. Mohaimen is the Department Chair and an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting & Finance at North South University, where he has taught for more than a decade across Financial Accounting, Auditing & Assurance, and Corporate Finance at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and a Master of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Finance and Investments, both from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, New York.

Dr. Mohaimen's research centers on corporate sustainability and ESG disclosure, exploring how governance structures shape environmental and social performance, carbon reporting quality, and greenwashing behavior, alongside related work on market liquidity, earnings quality, dividend policy, and NGO financial reporting. His work has appeared in reputed journals including Accounting & Finance, the Social and Environmental Accountability Journal and others.

Beyond academia, he is a Provisional Member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and a member of the Board of Studies at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).

Research Interests: Financial reporting, integrated reporting, sustainability reporting, auditing and assurance practices.
