 Curriculum Vitae

Humaira Haque completed her Bachelor of Business Administration from North South University, majoring in Accounting & Finance and International Business. Upon completion of her BBA degree, she pursued Master's in Finance, from University of Essex, United Kingdom. 

Humaira joined North South University in Spring 2019, as a full-time lecturer at the Department of Accounting and Finance, SBE, NSU. Her research focus and interest is on corporate governance, ESG, nature dependence, ownership structure, and capital structure, examining their linkages with firm performance and credit risk. She has published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Risk and Financial Management and China Accounting and Finance Review. Beyond journal publications, she co-authored a book chapter titled ‘Islamic Finance as a Greener Alternative’ in the book Green Banking in Bangladesh and Beyond, a World Bank–funded project under the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project. She has also secured competitive research funding from NSU’s CTRG to support projects on ownership structures and default risk.

Humaira Haque completed her Bachelor of Business Administration, with a dual major in Finance & Accounting and International Business from North South University, Bangladesh. Upon completion of her BBA degree, she pursued Masters in Finance, University of Essex, United Kingdom.
