About

Samuel is a Lecturer at the Department of Management and teaches Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. He is also the Director at North South University Startups Next (NSUSN), North South University's startup incubator that provides a comprehensive support system and industry networking to high-growth technology ventures. In the past, he served as the Faculty Advisor to North South University Young Entrepreneurs Society (NSUYES!), the oldest and most prestigious club at North South University.

He is passionate about helping young entrepreneurs realize their maximum potential and guiding nascent high-growth ventures towards successful commercialization and product-market fit. At NSUSN, he has guided 100+ startup founders and has helped 30+ startups raise around USD 2.1 million in grants and investments.

In addition, he regularly engages with policy-makers to enact startup policies. He has also formed numerous affiliations with reputed startup ecosystem players like the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) Project under the ICT Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) under the ICT Division, Startup Bangladesh Ltd., Bangladesh government's venture capital firm, and many others. 

Furthermore, he actively trains early-stage startup founders to become investment-ready. Previously, he conducted numerous workshops and training organized by the World Bank and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. 

His research interests are in the areas of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship ecosystems in developing economies, university incubators and accelerators, and technology adoption in small businesses. His research utilizes qualitative research methodologies.
