Ahmed Ishtiaque is a proud alumnus of North South University, where he completed his BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology, followed by an MSc in Cancer Immunology and Biotechnology from the University of Nottingham. During his Master's, he collaborated with the Scancell Antibody Team led by Professor Lindy G. Durrant. He has contributed to multiple CTRG-funded research projects and has taught both core and advanced lab-based undergraduate courses, where his enthusiasm for science and mentoring shines through.
Currently pursuing a PhD in the JKF Laboratory under Dr. Crystall Swarbrick as his primary supervisor. Ahmed’s research lies at the intersection of structural biology and immunology, disciplines deeply rooted in his training as a biochemist. His goal is to explore the molecular language of life and use it to drive discovery and innovation in human health. He is passionate about academic research and hopes to inspire the next generation of scientists.
To young minds with wonder in their eyes —
The future is written in genes and skies.
Biochem’s the root, where all paths track,
So come explore… there’s no turning back
