About

Zarin Tasnim is a Lecturer in the Media, Communication, and Journalism (MCJ) program under the Department of Political Science and Sociology at North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is an academic, researcher, public speaker, and columnist specializing in media and cultural discourse. She holds an MA in International Journalism from the City University of London, UK, and a BA in English, majoring in Media and Cultural Studies from Brac University, Bangladesh. Her research interests encompass various disciplines, including media, communication, and journalism, focusing on gender studies, media bias, media production analysis, popular culture, archiving and documenting historic cultural narratives, cultural studies, and intercultural communication. In addition to her academic pursuits, Zarin has extensive experience in content-based writing, advertising, and media production, both locally and internationally. Her diverse expertise enables her to critically analyze and engage with media and communication landscapes while contributing to scholarly discourse and industry practice.
